Fundraising News

Our fundraising committee was formed in February 2013 in response to an urgent need to raise £6000 for essential electrical work in our church building. We are grateful for all the hard work and enthusiasm of those who gladly made the early events successful, so that we were soon able to meet the financial bill.

Since then we have continued to raise around £5000 a year, contributing to the substantial on-going costs of running a building which serves both our church family and the local community in so many ways, from the toddler group to the University of the Third Age.

The work continues, with a Summer Fayre and a Christmas Fayre each year (November 24th 2018 at 10am), as well as a Coffee Morning most Saturdays at 10am and a wide variety of events in addition. We welcome new ideas and new members for our committee.

Coming events:

Our Autumn series of concerts begins with Stanley Methodist Men’s Forum Gospel Choir: Saturday October 13th 2018 at 7pm. We will be serving pie and peas, and expect a considerable audience for this fine choir.

We also welcome the Good News Choir on Sunday November 25th 2018 in the afternoon, and look forward to another excellent musical occasion.
